Remove special characters

Sanitizes signal labels and device names for tools that cannot process specific special characters.

Sanitize signal labels

Defines whether special characters in signal labels are sanitized. Enabled by default.

Sanitize device names

Defines whether special characters in device names are sanitized. Disabled by default.

Keep numbers

Keeps numeric characters unchanged. Enabled by default.

Keep special characters

Keeps the predefined set of special characters ([]?&%$§) unchanged instead of replacing or removing them.

Keep forward slash and backslash

Keeps forward slash (/) and backslash (\) unchanged instead of replacing or removing them.

Keep _

Keeps underscores (_) unchanged. Enabled by default.

Keep other non-Latin characters

Keeps letters outside the range a-z and A-Z, such as umlauts, unchanged. Disabled by default.

When disabled, characters outside this range are replaced or removed unless they are kept by another option.

Replacement character

Defines the character used to replace characters that are not kept. The default is an underscore (_).

Leave the field empty to remove characters that are not kept.
