Import and Export DCM with Variants (Bosch only)

Import parameters with variants

  • In the Parameters Step , click the Import button.

  • In the open file dialog, select the DCM file containing the variants you want to import.

    The following window opens:

  • From the drop-down list, choose the variant of the corresponding mode you want to import.

  • In the Import Parameters window, select the parameters to import. You can also modify their names, and choose whether to show bounds and/or overwrite the units of the parameters.

  • Click Import.

  • The selected variants of the selected parameters are imported.

Export parameters with variants

Note  

Variants are overwritten when you use Export to export parameters with variants. Use (next to the Exportbutton) >Patch Parameter or Variant in Existing DCM File instead.

  • In the Parameters step, click the button next to the Export button.

  • Select Patch Parameter or Variant in Existing DCM File.

  • In the open file dialog, select the DCM file you want to patch the variants into. Usually the same file from which you imported the variants.

  • In the DCM Variants window, select the variant of the corresponding mode you want to overwrite from the drop-down list.

  • In the Parameter Calibration Patcher window, you can make the following settings:

    • File name: Default name follows the format original_file_name.patched.dcm.

    • Storage location: Click Save as to change the storage location.

    • Overwrite source file: Activate the checkbox to overwrite the source file instead of creating a duplicate.

    • Parameter selection: From the drop-down in the MOCA column, select the parameter you want to patch into the file. The name of the parameter existing in the file is shown in the File column. = indicates no differences between the parameters, and <> indicates differences.

  • Click OK.

  • The patched file is saved.
