Step 5: Sorting Rules
In this step, you can define sorting rules for inputs so that the experiment plan is processed in a meaningful way (according to the properties of the system to be measured).
The window consists of two areas; the inputs to be measured can be moved between them with
and
.
Unsorted Inputs
All unsorted inputs and calculated inputs are listed here.
Sorted Inputs
All sorted inputs are listed here.

|
An input with the Sweep property cannot be sorted. |
The direction through which this input is passed:
-
ascending/descending: The input direction is ascending or descending. After the first sorted value is processed, there is a reset before the second sorted value.
-
ascending meander/descending meander: The direction for the input is ascending or descending. After the first sorted value is processed, the value is retained and processed backwards (as shown in the screenshot above).
-
alternating start low/high/middle:The processing alternates between high and low values, allowing a mean value to be used as a moving average. High/Mid/Low sets the starting point of the alternation. Use this method, for example, to prevent your electric motor from overheating during the measurement.
The hierarchy in the Sorted Inputs list can be changed with
