Limitation of Calibration Map Gradient

Optimization menu > Global Optimization > Constrain CM Gradient

The Limitation of Calibration Map Gradient window offers the possibility to constrain the gradients of the calibration maps individually for each input.

Note

Inputs that are discrete (like SCV in the example) are shown, but cannot be edited.

The Limitation of Calibration Map Gradient window contains the following elements:

<input> rows

One row for each input.

<OP axis> columns

One column for each operating point axis.

Each cell contains the following elements:

  • Checkbox

If activated, you can enter upper and lower limits in the input field.

  • Input field

If the checkbox is activated, you can enter the lower and upper limits, separated by a blank, for the gradient in the OP direction.

The lower limit is specified as a value < 0, the upper limit is specified as a value > 0.
A value = 0 constrains the map to be at most/least flat in a direction.
A value NaN disables the gradient limitation in one direction.

  • Information field

The numbers below the input field represent the minimal and maximal gradient in the OP direction of the current calibration map corresponding to this input.

ClosedExample cell

This example means that the minimal gradient is not constrained and the positive gradient has a pitch of maximum 0.01.
