Optimization Criteria

There are a series of target criteria for the optimization of one or several outputs that are described in the following table.

Criterion	Value	Meaning
Minimize/Maximize	None	Optimization to minimum/maximum value without further restrictions.
Minimize/Maximize	Hard Lower and/or Upper Bound	Optimization to minimum/maximum value with additional lower and/or upper limit.
Target		Optimization to target value – the amount of deviation from target is minimized.
Bound		Optimization with limits.
	Hard Lower and/o Upper Bound	Specifies fixed lower and/or upper limits for the optimizer. If these limits are overrun/underrun, the optimization concludes without a result. In case of an optimization of the type "single criteria at OPs" the "weak upper/lower bound" criterion is used for further optimization.
	Weak Upper/ Lower Bound	A weakened form of "Hard ... Bound". Minimizing/maximizing up to a threshold, all values below or above it are not optimized any further.
