Locking the Visualization Against Changes

The goal of this tutorial is to edit points without having to wait for the external model evaluation after every change and to view the visualization at the same time.

Stop the external model evaluation

1. Click the button.

   You can edit points without triggering the external model evaluation.

2. Click the button.

   The external model is calculated once.

View the visualization while editing points

• Click the button to undock the visualization tab you want to work with.

• Click the button to lock the visualization against changes.

• Click the button to prevent the external model evaluation from being triggered.

  You can now make changes to data points in the Parameters or Optimization step. The visualization will not change. The indicator at the bottom of the visualization tab turns red to indicate its being not up to date with the changed parameter settings.

• Click the button to calculate the external model and update the visualization once.

  The indicator at the bottom of the visualization tab turns green to indicate its being up to date with the changed parameter settings.
