Optimizing a Map/Curve Grid
-
In the ASCMO-Calibration Data Editor window, select a curve or map parameter.
-
Click on Optimize Grid.
The map or curve is displayed in the
"Optimize Grid" window.
-
In the "Min to Max Grid Size X" and "Min to Max Grid Size Y" areas, enter the minimum and maximum numbers of grid nodes for the X axis and Y axis.
Note
The minimum number of grid nodes for an axis is 2. The "Min to Max Grid Size Y" area is only available for maps.
-
If desired, adjust the number of repetitions in the "Multistart" fields.
-
Click on Optimize Grid to start the calculation.
Maps/curves for all possible sizes (x_min,y_min .. x_max,y_max / x_min .. x_max) are calculated. Size and error of a computed map/curve are written to the optimization table, and the calculated map/curve is shown in the plot area.
-
Select a map/curve in the optimization table and click on Apply.
The selected map/curve version is applied to the parameter. Undo (Apply Original) restores the original map/curve.
