Converting Diagram Elements into a Hierarchy Block

This topic applies only to SWCs specified as block diagrams.

Select the diagram elements you want to put in a hierarchy block.
In the Basic Blocks palette or toolbar, click the Hierarchy button.
The selected diagram elements are placed inside a newly created hierarchy block. A pin with a default name is created for each line that connects a diagram element outside the hierarchy block with a diagram element inside.

Note
It is not possible to move diagram elements into a hierarchy block directly, e.g. by drag-and-drop. They always have to be copied via the clipboard or moved as described here.
