Editing a Record Implementation

This instruction applies to normal implementations. Creating a mixed physical implementation is described in Specifying a Mixed Physical Implementation.

Open the implementation editor of the record.
To adjust the order of elements in the record, proceed as follows.
1. Activate the User defined order of elements option.
2. In the Elements table, select a record element.
3. In the Element menu or the context menu, select Move up or Move down to move the record element.
With that, you determine the position of the record elements in the memory area covered by the record.
Add implementations as described in Creating or Copying an Implementation.
Select the implementation you want to edit and do the following:
1. In the Local tab, open the implementation editor for a scalar or composite element and edit the element implementation.
2. In the Local tab, double-click an included record to open the Impl Ref. Editor window, then edit the implementation of the record instance.
3. If desired, go to the External Struct tab and make the settings for an externally declared record.
Click OK to close the implementation editor of the record and accept your settings.
