Setting up a Channel in the Data Generator

  1. Select a channel in the Data Generator window.
  2. Do one of the following.

    • In the Channels menu, select Edit
    • Double-click the selected channel.

    The Stimulus window opens. It shows the name of the channel being set up in its title bar.

  3. Alternatively, proceed as follows:

    1. In the Outline tab of the experimentation environment, select an element.
    2. Select Stimulate from the context menu.

      Or

    3. In the Elements menu, select Stimulate.

    This adds the element to the Data Generator window and opens the Stimulus window.

  4. Select a mode for the channel.

    The mode determines what kind of curve is generated. Possible modes are constant, sine, ramp, pulse, step, table, signal, random, and gaussian.

  5. Set up the channel.
