Monitoring Elements Manually

Element monitors are only available for block diagram elements.

To monitor an individual element, do the following:
1. In the experiment view view that shows the component used in the experiment of the experiment environment, right-click the element you want to monitor.
2. Select Monitor from the context menu.
  When you start the experiment, the value is displayed above the element in the Physical Experiment window. Depending on your settings in the Experiment node of the ASCET options window, a value fades if it does not change.
3. Select the Monitor command again to deassign the monitor.
To monitor all elements, do the following:
1. In the View menu, select Monitor All to assign monitors to all elements.
2. In the View menu, select Delete Monitors to delete all the monitors in the diagram.

If you save the environment of this experiment, manually assigned monitors are saved, too.
