Editing a Table in the 2D Graphical Editor

in the 2D graphical editor, you can edit values and sample points of a table, and you can make other settings.

Preparations
  1. Select the line you want to edit by clicking on it.

    Or – if the lines cannot be distinguished -

  2. Switch to the previous or next line by pressing the <↑> or <↓> key or click to select another line.

    The selected line displays a rectangle for each sample point.

Values
  1. Click the rectangle representing the value you want to edit.
  2. Drag the rectangle up or down to change the value.

    The current value for the x axis sample point are displayed in the title bar of the editor window.

  3. In the Edit menu, select Block Selection to adjust more than one sample point.

    You can drag the mouse cursor around multiple sample points to select them. You can change the values of all these points together by moving them with the mouse.

  4. In the Edit menu, select Block Selection again to adjust one sample point only.

    Note

    Adjusting multiple values only works for values, i.e. along the z axis.

Sample Points

Note

According to the selected perspective (Toggling the Perspective of the 2-D Editor), the following commands affect either the x or y axis.

  1. To change the value of an axis sample point, move the vertical line cursor for the selected sample point.

    The axis value is adjusted accordingly. You can move the cursor up to one of the neighboring sample points.

  2. In the Edit menu, select Decrement Value to decrement the selected axis point.
  3. In the Edit menu, select Increment Value to increment the selected axis point.
Others
  1. In the x-Size and y-Size field, adjust the table size.
  2. In the Interpol. combo box, select an interpolation routine.

    By default, Linear or Rounded are available. If you have added your own interpolation routines (see User-Defined Interpolation Routines), these are available as well.

    Note

    You can switch between different normal interpolation routines, or between different double-precision interpolation routines, or from a double-precision to a normal interpolation routine.

    You cannot, however, switch from a normal interpolation to a double-precision interpolation routine; an error is issued if you try.
