Variable Names
In ESDL, variables names are made up of letters and digits. The first element of a variable name must be a letter. The underscore character counts as a letter. Variable names must not contain spaces.
The following are valid ESDL variable names:
i, j2a, aVar, a_Var
The names of all variables must be unique within the scope of the current element. This limitation is important when working with imported classes or modules. ESDL does not, at this stage, resolve name conflicts.
Several keywords are reserved and may not be used as variable names; see Reserved Keywords for a list. Since upper and lower case are not distinguished, any spelling of the listed names is reserved.
