Browsing the Database/Workspace (Toolbar)

You can also browse the database or workspace via the Component Manager toolbar.

In the Component Manager, click the arrow button next to Search – *.
A selection list opens. The currently selected information type (see Search Criteria) is marked.
Select an information type.
The selected type is shown in pale font in the combo box.
Do one of the following:
- In the combo box, enter a new search term
- Select a previous search term.
Click Search – * to start the search.
While the database/workspace is searched, the Search <objects> window is shown. In that window, click Cancel to abort the search.
The resulting information is displayed in a dialog window.

Note
If you selected the information type Text in ESDL or C code, the button does not open the results window. Instead, the Find (ESDL and C-Code only) window opens. Proceed as described in Finding a Character String.
