Saving a Database Under a Different Name

You can save a database under any name. Thus, you can, e.g., create a backup of an entire database and its supplementary files.

1. In the Component Manager, open the File menu and select Save As.

   The Save Database as window opens.

2. Select the directory that will contain the database.

   You must not select a database.

3. Click the New button to create a new, empty directory.

   The New database path window opens.

4. Enter a name and click OK.

   The new directory is created, and selected as target directory.

5. In the Save Database as window, click OK.

   Note
   When you selected an existing directory, a warning is displayed that you will delete the entire content of that directory if you continue saving the database. You can cancel the procedure here.

   The content of the current database is copied, and the new database is created and loaded (see bottom bar in the Component Manager).
