Comparing Two Databases

This procedure is not available for workspaces.

You can compare entire databases with each other. This is useful if you are working with different copies or development streams of the same database, or when working in development teams.

  1. In the Component Manager, open the Tools menu, point to Database and select Compare Database.

    The "Compare database" window opens.

  2. Select the database that you want to compare with the current database.

  3. Click OK to start the comparison.

    Note

    Comparing large databases can be very time-consuming.

    The databases are compared. A list of items and projects in which the databases differ from each other is displayed in the monitor window.
