Edit Menu

This menu contains the following functions:

Undo (<Ctrl> + <z>)

Reverses the most recent action.

Redo (<Ctrl> + <y>)

Reverses an undo command.

Cut (<Ctrl> + <x>)

Cuts (deletes) a selected diagram element or code fragment.

Copy (<Ctrl> + <c>)

Copies a selected diagram element or code fragment to the ASCET clipboard.

Paste (<Ctrl> + <v>)

Pastes a diagram element or code fragment.

Delete (<Delete>)

Deletes a selected element or code fragment.

Rename (<F2>)

Renames a selected element.

Find/Replace (<Ctrl> + <f>)

Finds and replaces code parts, see Finding/Replacing ESDL Code.

Search (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <s>)

Searches the component as described in Browsing the Database or Workspace. The range is limited to the edited component and its included components.

Select All (<Ctrl> + <a>)

Selects all elements in the Specification view.

Replace Component

Replaces a component with another component. The name of the old component remains.

Open Component

Opens the specification editor for a selected included component.

Notes

Opens the notes editor for an included component – you can make notes about the included component there.

Properties (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <p>)

Edits the properties of the selected element.

Data (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <d>)

Opens the data editor for the selected element.
