Locals Tab

This tab contains the following elements.

local variables field

Lists all existing local variables with name and type.

• Add

  Adds a new local variable of the type cont.

• Del

  Deletes the local variable selected in the local variables field.

Properties field

• Local Variable Type combo box

  Select the type of the local variable selected in the Local Variables field. Possible values are:

  <user defined>	local variable of component or enumeration type
  <enumeration>	local variable of enumeration type
  cont, sdisc, udisc, limitInt, wrapInt, log	scalar local variable of the respective type
  array[cont], array[log], array[sdisc], array[udisc], array[limitInt], array[wrapInt], array[<enumeration>], array[<record>]	array local variable of the respective type
  mat[cont], mat[log], mat[sdisc], mat[udisc], mat[limitInt], mat[wrapInt], mat[<enumeration>], mat[<record>]	matrix local variable of the respective type

• Unit field

  Enter the unit of the selected local variable.

• Comment field

  Enter a comment for the selected local variable.

• Type combo box

  Select a type for a wrapInt local variable.

• Min and Max fields

  Enter lower and upper limit for a limitInt or wrapInt local variable.

  For limitInt, the values in Min and Max must be representable in sint32 or uint32.

  For wrapInt, the values in Min and Max must be representable in the selected Type.

  • context menu in the Min field

    • Default Value

      Inserts the default minimum value for the selected type.

    • Copy (<Ctrl> + <c>)

      Copies the selected field content to the clipboard.

    • Paste (<Ctrl> + <v>)

      Inserts the clipboard content into the Min field.

    • 0 (minimum for uint*) / -2^7 (-128) (minimum for sint8) / -2^15 (-32768)(minimum for sint16) / -2^31 (-2147483648)(minimum for sint32)

      Inserts the respective value.

  • context menu in the Max field

    • Default Value

      Inserts the default maximum value for the selected type.

    • Copy (<Ctrl> + <c>)

      Copies the selected field content to the clipboard.

    • Paste (<Ctrl> + <v>)

      Inserts the clipboard content into the Max field.

    • 2^7-1 (127) or 2^8-1 (255)(maximum for sint8 / uint8)

    • 2^15-1 (32767) or 2^16-1 (65535)(maximum for sint16 / uint16)

    • 2^31-1 (2147483647) or 2^32-1 (4294967295)(maximum for sint32 / uint32)

      Inserts the respective value.

• Reference option

  Note
  Only available for local variables of array, matrix and record type. If this option is deactivated, you can export the model only in AMD format V6.4.0 or higher. An export to AMD format V6.3.* or older will result in an export error.

  This option determines if the local variable is an explicit reference.

• Read for Referenced Element and Write for Referenced Element option

  Note
  Only available for explicit references (i.e. arrays/matrices/records with activated Reference option, or components). It is not possible to disable both * for Referenced Element options at the same time.

  Activate the appropriate * for Referenced Element option to set the internal access to the referenced element to Read or Write.
