Resolving a Hierarchy or Statement Block

To resolve a hierarchy/statement block and keep its content, proceed as follows:

  1. Right-click the hierarchy block and select Resolve Hierarchy or Resolve Statement Block from the context menu.

The block is removed and all diagram items it contains are brought into the diagram one level up.

The sequence calls of a hierarchy are kept, the block-local sequence calls are converted to connectors.

  2. If necessary, do the following for former block-local sequence calls:

    • Convert the former block-local sequence call to a normal sequence call.
    • Connect the former block-local sequence call to a suitable control-flow element.
  3. If necessary, clean up the block diagram.

To remove a hierarchy/statement block and delete its content, proceed as follows:

  1. Select a hierarchy/statement block.
  2. In the Edit menu, select Delete.

The block, and all diagram elements it contains, are deleted.
